And now let’s go through each category one by one in a bit more detail.

Soft skills:

Deutsch and Deutschland:

  • Do your really need Privathaftpflichtversicherung?
Strictly saying it’s the most useful kind of insurances offered to you in Germany and can save your budget from very big expenses. Usually covers accidental damage to property of 3-d party owner.  Strictly adviced:More info:
    Here, and here English speaking
  • TV tax survived! Failed battle in constitutional German court
TV tax – it’s something that every household in Germany should pay regardless if you have real TV or not. Officials say that if you are able to play any TV show on any device in your house, then you should pay this tax. Bundesverwaltungsgericht – very serious court in Germany still thinks so.Source:

Back-end:

  • Quick look at Apache Camel
At my current company, we have a very interesting problem of decoupling monolith to microservices. Integration from one service to another (sometimes legacy stuff) might be tricky sometimes. That’s why I took a quick look at Apache Camel – framework that helps to implement

Enterprise Integration Patterns, integrate, pipe and transform data from one service to another. So I read a couple of articles and watched a video. Looks promising, will dig deeper.

  • Playing with Docker
I feel like I missed something important while I was busy with all my stuff.
And one of the things that I definitely missed it’s Docker and ecosystem around it.In the source section, I’ll put the youtube playlist about Docker and I tried to reproduce all the things on my local env. No sure that I understood everything but it was a good start.Source:
Hope you will find something interesting in my learnings/findings from this week. I’ll try to write yet another article about one of the topics from this list.
